Your Employment with us will be a spiritually, Academically, and professionally rewarding.

The reason for this handbook is to guide members of staff concerning their employment.

You are expected to read, understand and comply with these guidelines.

A word about who we are
Ronic Foundation Schools was Founded in 1st March, 2012. First as a crèche and pre-nursery and primary school.

Our focus is centred on training future leaders by majoring on early child Education.

Our goal is to plant schools all over the Nuck and Crannies of Edo State and if God permits the Nigeria and Western World shall be our constituency.

Ronic is an acronym, which means:

Through a qualified teachers in view of also taking staff welfare into consideration.

MISSION STATEMENT
Bringing future into the present by collective effort and collaboration of idea system pattern. And ensuring that teachers do their work which they were hired for without fear or favour.

What we expects of our staff
All employees are ambassadors of Ronic Foundation Schools and as such are expected to put their best in the work they were employed to do, striving for excellence.
Employees are expected to be punctual, that is, 7:15/7:30am Monday to Friday is our resumption / working periods except for essential duties (External Examination).
There is no room for quarrelling / fighting – erring staff is dismissal without payment.
Employee lead devotions are held every Mondays morning for the purpose of focusing the staff on committing the week’s work into the hands of Christ. All teachers / non teachers are expected to attend without fail, except for essential duty.
Our institution is an academic place, dress code is adhere to and we are very strict about it. (cover shoes and skirt and blaze for female, shirt and trousers talkin for the male).
All staff employed are expected to comply to the directives of the school through their heads.
Break and meal period: employees on a break are not expected to leave their classes or the school premises.
Major causes for dismissals: Among the offenses considered serious and cause for dismissal are the following:
Frequent tardiness or absenteeism: Unexpected or excessive absence or failure to properly notify your unit heads, supervisor or management can lead to dismissal action.
Theft/misuse of Ronic Schools property: Abuse, Misuse, waste or destruction of Ronic Foundation Schools property will lead to immediate dismissal of any employee who is caught in these
Act of violence against Ronic parents / pupils: fighting, abuse, disruptive or manhandling Ronic pupil, disorderly behaviour and threats are not expected of our employees.
Criminal offences: convictions of criminal offences will void an employee of any appointment already offered.
Organising lectures in Ronic Foundation Schools outside the schools lecture, having a preferred pupils instead of taking all your pupils as one is equal to automatic dismissal.
Mistreatment of pupils or wilful inattention to pupil’s care (neglect).
Confidentiality violation: unauthorised release of school information or divulging the schools information to an authorised individuals.
Sleeping: Sleeping while on duty.
Employment application falsification: Any misrepresentations or material omissions or falsifications.
Work schedules: failure to accept as to time or duty assigned, leaving job during working hours for any reason without supervisory approval, not ready to begin work at start of duty or leaving before your closing hours.
Personal use of Ronic Foundation Schools: it is the responsibility of each employee to preserve our organisation’s assets including wall clock, materials, supplies, equipment and information . organisation assets are to be maintained for business related purposes. As a general rule, the personal use of any Ronic Foundation Schools asset without the prior approval of a supervisor is not permitted. Any community or charitable use of organisation resources also must be approved in advance by the management.
Any use of organisation resources for personal financial gain unrelated to the school policy e.g. (sales of schools materials or items, recharge cards, biscuits, lecture outside the normal school lectures to our school business is prohibited.
About your Benefits: Every effort is made to provide reasonable salaries and benefits with commensurate with ability and experience level.

This shall be sequel from one anniversary date (date of employment). An employee length of service will accumulate during the time of full employment and not during unpaid leave time.
Probation period: All new employees will be on probation for a period of one year.
Salaries: Salaries are paid on the first week of every month. It is against the administrative policy of this establishment to provide any salary advances or loans to staff or others persons. Employees are expected to demonstrate financial responsibility in managing their personal affairs.
Please Note: Salary increasement are made on the basis of performance and or salary scale adjustments.

There is annual performance evaluation.
The following are observed as paid public holiday: Schools / staff should be well furnished but for essential services such as the crèche might be opened this with be at the discretion of the management

For staff on extra care, they can be called upon to be on duty whenever the need arises.
Pension Scheme: A pension scheme is available to full time, permanent staff (those who work till their last exit in service). That is employee must have worked for 15 years. Contribution does not begin until after 2 years of working with Ronic Foundation Schools (probation period 2 years).
Employees contribute 5% of gross earning per month
Employer contribute 2% of each employee’s earning per month
All funds are deposited in an interest bearing saving/investment account on a monthly basis

Employees receive entitlements according to the following conditions:
Years of Services
Entitlement

Less than 5 years
Employees own contributions plus interest

10 years
Employees own contribution plus interest plus 50% of employer’s contribution with interest

15 years plus
Employees own contribution plus interest plus interest plus 100% of employer’s contribution with interest.

Retirement
An employee who retires at the normal retirement age of 60 years, after completion of a minimum of 15years of service is entitled to retirement benefits (Retirment with less than 10 years of service follows the same schedule as above).
The employee receives the value of their pension
Alternatively, the employee may choose to convert the value of their fund to an annuity such that the employee receives a monthly salary for the reminder of their life.
Any employee dismissed for fraud or misconduct or resigns to avoid such dismissal will be entitled to receive the current value of their own contributions only and forfeits any further benefits, regardless of their length of service.
Leave Time: Leave is based on the policy of Ronic Foundation schools, their stipulated period. This is according to the ministry of Educational Calendar – which would be strictly adhered to.
Sick Leave: Sick leave will be granted for approved excuses as follows:
Working day, based on the severity of the health challenges, if the asking staff as previously asked for sick leave the management will ask for a letter of treatment or evidence of treatment before it will be granted.
Maternity Leave: This is subject to management to decide
Funeral Leave: Funeral leave may be granted at the discretion of the management for the bereavement of verification family relations.
A maximum of 5 working days leave will be granted for immediate family members (spouse, mother, father, or children) and a maximum of 3 days will be granted for grand parent or sibling (same mother or father). Any additional days leave required will be deducted from one’s monthly salaries.
Special Request Leave: any special request for leave or time off, such as attending funerals of friends or relations not specified above, taking exams, or other personal business should also be made with writing with appropriate notice such requests may be granted with pay (dedication from employee’s monthly salaries) or may be granted without pay (subject to managerial approval.
